Sandra woke up optimistic on a good Friday morning. Indeed, it was good because on that day she received the most important call of her life. She had been pondering all weekend about the business proposal she had sent to one of the top hotels in town. She wondered if they had even looked at her document at all. The call came at 9am from the hotel manager’s secretary informing her to attend a conference where she would have the opportunity to present her ideas. Not only to one hotel, but to several other hotels surrounding the country.
Oh, my word! She screamed with joy after she hanged up the call, for a second, she had a reason to be thankful. ‘’Thank you, Jesus’’ was all she could say. She went to check her emails to get the confirmation and reality of the call. And indeed, she could smile, her cheeks wide exposing a gap between her front teeth as she opened the email, the conference was in week’ s time so she had to prepare.
Shopping
Shopping wasn’t on top of Sandra’s to-do list but on this she needed a proper outfit to represent the part. She went into 3 different shops and ended up settling for a dress she saw at one of the leading fashion shops. It was a perfect fit which hugged her voluptuous body and in a decent manner. To compliment the outfit, she settled for a small white jacket for some colour.
The missing piece
Growing up, it had always been Sandra’s wish to help hotels through her logistics company to get their perishables delivered at the right time, at the right price and in the right quantity and quality. She was so passionate that daily she imagined herself walking up to the podium to deliver her presentation. In her mind, she saw herself speaking to a tired audience and imagined them losing interest halfway through her presentation. What could she be missing, she pondered? She looked at her outfit and found it perfect. She went through her presentation countless times, modified it to her satisfaction, and still could not figure out what she felt could be missing from all this.
Finding the missing piece
The event was so big, and she read books and went through a lot of prominent characters profiles. She awoke to find the internet flooded with news of how world acclaimed presenters Chris Rock and Will Smith found themselves in a live fight during the recent awards. Can the same not happen to me, she wondered. The countdown began and a day before the big day she took a small trip to the city centre. She got herself a chocolate at one of the supermarkets, and, boom! she saw a jewellery shop.
Jewellery, the missing piece
Sandra had passed the very same shop countless times but not a single day had she noticed that there existed a jewellery shop. She was never much of a jewellery fan, but she just decided to have a look. Inside she was greeted by two ladies and a cool breeze of the aircon. Of particular interest was how she was given a reception fit for the elite and she had no doubts she had come to the right place. For a minute she wanted to walk out but was interrupted by one of the ladies who took her through the brochure “Wooow !!!” she exclaimed, her hands on her chest. One of the ladies, Mildred, reassured her that the piece she was looking at was beautiful and would compliment her style.
Immediately this made her feel comfortable to tell her story about the big presentation. She showed the ladies a picture of herself she took when she tried the outfit at Edgars. Mildred assured her that the outfit was perfect though it missed a classy touch. Mildred took out a couple of silver chains and the pendants that would look elegant with her outfit, as she said her budget was not enough for gold. She immediately settled for the GD060 chain with P00320 clear stone pendant.
The Confidence Effect
That evening she slept peacefully knowing that her outfit was complete with an Aurex chain and pendant. At that conference, she stood and spoke with confidence as she realised that everyone was paying attention. They had paid attention the moment she arrived as the lady who ushered her to her sit told her she looked gorgeous and especially loved her neck chain. She gave her a big smile and thanked her for the lovely compliment.
The missing piece had given her the much-needed attention as well as confidence to deliver. What would she have done without the jewellery?
An act of gratitude
She did not forget to text back the ladies at the shop and tell them the good news of how she was given the contract and how she had referred some ladies to visit our shop for their look of confidence. She promised to come back for more soon.
The jewellery had saved the day for her! Especially the Aurex Jewellery!
