Diamond rings
This past year the number of times clients have requested rings with real diamonds has increased tremendously. Something tells me we shall continue with this trend well into the coming years. Diamonds give that extra special feel and look to jewellery. The way a real diamond scintillates and catches the light is incomparable. We cut and polish our own stones at our Ruwa factory so we are really looking forward to serving you diamond-studded jewellery this year! Did you know our diamonds come in different colours, shapes, size and clarity? As such, we have a diamond for every budget.

Chunky chains
Remember when thick chains were for American rappers and male ‘’mbingas’’ only? Well, not anymore. The chunky neckpiece trend is really catching on with the ladies. Pair a short, thick gold chain with a plain t-shirt and biker shorts and you’re good to go. Who knew looking good could be so effortless?

Five karat (5k) jewellery
Remember our blog on what karat means? Well, we are here now, and 5k is a real and tangible thing. We, at Aurex, are manufacturing jewellery in 5k gold and the response has been amazing. I believe this year we will see more people in gold than ever before. 5K is insanely affordable! A gold wedding band for ZWL 20,000!! Visit any of our shops and see for yourself.

Midi rings
I’ll admit, ring stacking is not a new trend, but it is one that is clearly making a comeback. It is inspiring to see women making bold fashion choices. Midi rings say to the world ‘’I am here, see me’’. Simple dress rings worn the right way can elevate your look. Midi rings are called that because they are worn somewhere in the middle of your finger. The ring does not have to rest around your palm.

Rose gold rings
In the past, white gold was a favourite, but trends are moving towards rose gold. Rose gold is an alloy made of gold and copper and it owes its colour to the copper content. The soft pink hue of rose gold jewellery has a particularly romantic charm. This beautiful metal strikes a balance between white and yellow gold, making it subtle and glamorous in equal measures.
Our favourite trends
Can you guess which trends we are most excited about? As trends go, for us nothing beats the 5k jewellery and the diamonds. Everyone can afford real gold and diamonds now! We are really looking forward to seeing you guys wear more and more Zimbabwean gold and diamonds.
