Showing Appreciation
“A person who feels appreciated will always do more than what is expected.” I am not sure who said it, but I know this is true because of how I feel when someone shows appreciation to me. It is one of the easiest equations and it never fails. When we show appreciation to another person, that person is more likely to feel great, and they are going to try to exceed your expectations. As we enter May, the month filled with love, and everyone going an extra mile to show appreciation to their mothers, for the unconditional love they have given us throughout the days of our lives, We thought we would do a special episode on what it looks like when we reach out and show appreciation for these special people in our lives.
Special Jewellery on Mother’s Day
One day a client paid a visit to our shop (Aurex Jewellery) and he was like “I am looking for something special for my wife as you know Mother’s Day is approaching”. Me being me I had to ask, why your wife and not your mother? He looked at me with a smile on his face and he started to narrate his story.
My Mother was my World
”My mother passed away when I had just finished my PHD studies. At that point, my world came crumbling down to my feet. She was my pillar, my mentor, my inspiration, my universe, she was my go-to person, my best friend. All good words that you can use to describe her. I met my wife six months after my mum passed. At the time I was still a nervous wreck and I had lost the strength to push forward. I had lost the reason to live. Come to think of it ,I am the only child. I have no siblings so I didn’t know where to start putting the puzzle pieces together. It was as if I was also waiting for time to leave this world.”
He who Finds a Wife…
”My wife came along and everything started to make sense. She helped me to pick up the pieces. She was more like a mother to me. As you know it is not easy to tame an old dog”, and he laughed.
”I know what am going to get. It is not going to even add up to what she has done for me, but I want to show that I really appreciate her love and efforts.”

It is good to be appreciated and at the same it is good to appreciate. It allows you to be truly grateful for the many blessings around you.
