Sheila ran like a shooting bolt after the young man who had just snatched her brand-new anklet and almost broke her leg in the process. It had happened so swift. Nonetheless, she was not letting the lad get away that easily. She thought of the money she spent purchasing the chain and ran even faster. The athletics in her revived and she was quickly catching up with the boy. Whistles, jeering, and hoots from car horns were heard on the streets as people watched the chase in excitement.
When she was about a meter away, she stretched her arm, leapt, and jumped on the boy who fell face down on the ground and dropped the little gold chain he had been gripping in his hand. Sheila quickly stood up and picked up her anklet which was now broken in two pieces. She was so upset she wanted to give the boy a slap but was interrupted by a loud bang….
It had rained all night and it took Sheila a few seconds to realise she was in her bed and the loud bang of thunder had woken her up from her horrific dream. She had been to the jewellery shop the previous day and had invested her month’s savings into buying an 18karat gold anklet. Her heart still pounded from the race in her dream and the shock of the thunder.
“The anklet!” she thought as she jumped from the bed and straight away reached for her jewellery box which was half full of chains pendants and rings. All her jewellery had been bought from Aurex Jewellery and she loved that fact. Aurex Jewellery is known as the best and top-quality jewellery manufacturers and distributors in Zimbabwe. She looked for the anklet, but it still was not there. So, she lay back in bed holding one of her pictures she had taken a few weeks back, while wearing some of her anklets.
Her mind was racing as she retraced her movements from her shopping yesterday. She remembered the time the sales consultant had handed her the pouch with her anklet with a smile on her face, but she could not remember where she had packed it afterwards. Suddenly something hit her, “I did not properly search the shopping bag,” she thought. Immediately, she rushed to the kitchen where she opened a drawer and pulled out the shopping bag, which she shook upside down. Alas! The little blue pouch branded “Aurex Jewellery,” fell to the floor. She picked it up and opened it with a smile on her face. Her new anklet was still safely bundled up in there. “What a relief!” She exclaimed in excitement. The lost anklet had been found.
